The benefits of Seaweed
Cultivating the ocean is necessary to meet the needs for food, feed, materials, and energy for a growing global population. To shed light on this we where tasked by Sintef and Norwegian Seaweed Centre to create a film showcasing how seaweed is produced, it’s use cases and benefits.

Exciting seaweed
Sintef had the ambitious goal of creating an informative and engaging film that would appeal to people of all ages. The challenge was to strike a balance between providing enough information without overwhelming the audience, while also incorporating visually captivating elements. The script underwent multiple iterations to determine the appropriate level of detail. The final product is a film that is visually pleasing, interesting, as well as educational.
Organic hero
The seaweed, portrayed as the hero of the film, underwent multiple iterations with Sintef's seaweed scientist to achieve the desired result. This involved refining its shape, texture, colour, and animation. The goal was to make the seaweed appear realistic, while also creating an authentic, positive, and uplifting atmosphere. Although these shots took the most time, the effort was definitely worthwhile!
